An item reported that rear admiral Moffet head of the US aviation office said against the naval commission for the House of Representatives that 779 planes were needed to fit out the five aircraft carriers and 25 cruisers mentioned in the new fleet program. This same program required also another 1.000 planes to be built within five years.
