Polish surveying ship Pomorzanin 1920-1930’s


She was built as the German steam Vulkan in 1890 at the shipyard Boücke&Sieg with as dimensions 117½ x 20¾ x 8½ feet and a displacement of 275 tons. Her armament consisted of 2-3pdr guns and 2 machineguns. The sets triple expansion engines and one cylindrical boiler supplied 250 ihp allowing while driving two screws a speed of 8 knots, Her crew numbered 34 men. Bought in April 20 was she in the early 1930s sold and until she was broken up in the early 1950s serving as a tug. Other sources claimed that she was built in 1893 art the shipyard of Sachsengerg brothers at Rosal in 1893, bought in December 1919 at Hamburg, Germany and commissioned in Polish service on 10 February 1920.
