French destroyer Simoun launched according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1924 no. 5
An item referred to the magazine Naval&Military Record reporting that at St. Nazaire the destroyer Simoun was launched the first of a range of 12 units all to be delivered in 1925. With a displacement of 1.460 tons were the dimensions 99 x 10 x 4 metres. A horsepower of 30.000 hp allowed a speed of 33 miles. The armament consisted of 4-5.1” guns. Her sister ships were the Orage, Tramontane, Cyclone, Bourrasque, Mistral, Ouragan, Sirocco, Tempête, Tornade, Trombe and Typhon.
