An item reported that the German torpedo boats V1-V6 built between 1911-1912 had a displacement of 700 ton with an armament of 2-8,8cm guns, 2 machineguns and 3-50cm torpedo launchers. Their crew numbered 85 men. Fitted out with Parsons turbines was their maximum speed above the contracted 32,5 miles . Although as large as their predecessors the G192-197 and the V186-191 was their superstructure better protected against the sea and higher, the latter however making them earlier to be sighted.
