An item referred to the magazine Schiffbau dated 11 June 1924 no. 16 reporting that the French parliament approved the requested budget by minister Bokaniowsky (1) of 49.000.000 francs for building 2-10.000 ton cruisers (speed 35 miles, 8-203 cm guns), 6-1.500 torpedo boats with speed of 33 miles and 2 1.500 ton submarines. The Mai-June edition of the Marine Rundschau reported that the for 1924 permitted cruisers had as dimensions 185 x 19 x 5,85 metres, 4x2-20,3cm guns in turrets placed amidships, 8-7,5cm anti aircraft guns, 2x3 torpedo guns, 2 reconnaissance float planes and with a horsepower of 120.000 hp a maximum speed of 35 miles and with a speed of 10 miles a range of 5.000 nautical miles.
