Portuguese gunboat Dom Luiz still not completed according to the Dutch magazine marine lad dated 1897-1898 no. 5

An item reported that the Portuguese gunboat Dom Luiz still was not completed. Her keel was laid down in 1886 but she was not earlier launched as in 1895. According to the rumours were her guns manufactured abroad sent back being to large as a result of incorrect assignments done by the authorities.
