British shipyard Elswick building Argentinean cruiser Necochea according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad 1890-1891 no. 4

An item reported the launching of the Argentinean armoured cruiser Necochea recently at Elswick. Her dimensions were 300 x 43 feet with a displacement of just 3.200 ton. Her engines supplied 13.500 ihp. The armament consisted of 2-21cm breech loading guns, 8-12cm quick firing guns and some smaller guns.
