Romanian naval budget according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad 1899-1900 no. 6

An item referred to the magazine Mittheilungen a/d Geb. des Seewesen which reported that the Romanian budget for 1899-1900 amounted 1.599.070 lire. In the spring was also an extra ordinary budget of 20.000.00 approved included 4.000.000 for building Danube-monitors, 3 large torpedo boats and voor equipment and torpedoes. According to the act dated 30 May 1898 was the navy reorganized including a change of her name from flotilla in navy. The Romanian navy was a separate section of the department for war.
