Spain testing new ignition for mines according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1907-1908 no. 4

An item referred to the magazine Army and Naval Journal reporting that Spanish officers were successful in testing ignitions for mines without using electric conduction while using Marconi’s principle of the wireless telegraphy.(1)

1. The Italian inventor marchese Guglielmo Marconi (25 April 1874 Bologna-20 July 1937 Rome) developed the Marconi’s law and for instance a radio telegraph system awarded in 1909 with the Nobel Prize for Physics together with Karl Ferdinand Braun for their efforts in developing wireless telegraphy.
