Submarine USS Grampus launched according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1902-1903 no. 9

An item referred to the foreign magazine La Marine Française reporting that on 1 August at the shipyard of the Union Iron Works at San Francisco the submarine USS Grampus was launched. All efforts during 24 hours a day were done to complete and fir out the 120 ton submarine USS Simon Lake for the coming manoeuvres.
