Successful trials of submarine Adder according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1902-1903 no. 9
An item referred to the foreign magazine Army and Naval reporting that the submarine Adder performed her trial on the measured trial in the Peconia bay in the presence of a large number of authorities with success.(1) She managed on a depth of 4 metres to continue a straight line between the buoys and to turn at the end as required. Despite that during 2 hours she was complete isolated from the open air was the atmosphere inside still pure and fresh. A long flagstaff pointed out above the surface made it possible to follow her course and movements.
