Venezuela buying Moroccan cruiser according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1899-1900 no. 7

An item referred to the magazine Mitth. reporting that Venezuela bought the cruiser Bascir originally built at Orlande for Morocco.(1)

1. According to Conway’s  All the world’s fighting ships 1860-1905 was the El Bashir built in 1892 at Leghorn sold in 1902 to Columbia where she was renamed Almirante Lezo. Two years later renamed Carthagena and stricken around 1924.
