Bethlehem Shipbuilding Company designing new American destroyers according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1932 no. 4

An item referred to the magazine Proc. dated April 1932 reporting that the Bethlehem Shipbuilding Company designed new destroyers with a speed of 36,5 miles although an even higher speed during the trials was expected. The armament would consist of 5-12,7cm guns also to be used for anti aircraft purposes, 2x4 torpedo guns located amidships and 8-10 heavy anti aircraft guns.
