The Greek naval strength according to the Dutch magazine Marineblad dated 1939 no. 6

An item referred to the magazine M.R. dated April 1939 reporting that the Greek fleet consisted of 1 armoured cruiser, 1 light cruiser, 8 destroyers, 13 torpedo boats, 4 submarines and 1 sailing training vessel and further more some smaller vessels, total tonnage 29.100 ton. British shipyard were building another two destroyers of which one was in the meantime delivered. Probably were two similar ships do be built in Greece. At the British firm Vosper Ltd.. at Portsmouth were some motor torpedo boats ordered and further more were there plans for building another tow submarines.
