R.M. dated March 1939 performed the motor torpedo boat 40 L. very well during her sea trials. With a displacement of 23 tons were her dimensions 20 x 4,50 metres. The four engines supplied 2.000 hp allowing a speed of 40 miles. The fuel bunker capacity was 4.000 litres. Crew accommodation available of 2 officers and 4 sailors. The magazine was not sure about her armament. It consisted of 2 or 3 torpedo tubes, 1 anti aircraft gun, a hedgehog and machineguns.
