German submarines fantasy attacking British coast according to the Dutch newspaper Vlissingse Courant dated 20 January 1917

An item referred to what a German deserter said to another Dutch newspaper the Nieuwe Arnhemsche Courant that in German navy circles it was well known that every thing was ready for an attack on the British coast on short notice. Nine hundred submarines were prepared. Although it was a secret plan, it apparently was well known within the German navy. The reporter thought it was no more as a fantasy but still worth to be read.
