Italian submarines attacked successfully Austrian convoy according to the Dutch newspaper De Tijd dated 29 May 1915
An item dated Paris 28 May reported that according to a telegram received from Milan on last Wednesday two Italian submarines successfully attacked Austrian merchant ships which left Pola [Pula, Croatia] while escorted by an auxiliary cruiser. The submarines launched 8 torpedoes and succeeded in hitting the auxiliary cruiser which was towed back to he harbour while heavily heeling.
