Italian merchant ships got premiums for ramming submarines according to the Dutch newspaper Het nieuws van den dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 18 March 1916

An item reported that the Italian magazine Marina Mercantile Italian was collecting gifts to be paid out to merchant ships which rammed submarines. On that moment was already 12.000 lires collected.
