Japanese steamship Daito Maru lost according to the Dutch newspaper Nieuwe Tilburgsche Courant dated 6 January 1915
An item dated Nagasaki 4 January reported that on 31 December 1914 the Japanese steamship Daito Maru underway from Dalny towards Osaka with a cargo of coal sunk off Port Hamilton. Of her crew drowned 24 men, 8 were saved.
