Japanese submarine No. 49 launched at Kobe according to the Dutch newspaper Rotterdamsch nieuwsblad dated 9 November 1926

An item dated Tokyo 9 November reported that a day earlier at Kobe the Japanese submarine Kobe was launched.(1) With a displacement of 2.200 ton was her speed of 25 knots and an armament of 2-12cm guns, 1 anti aircraft gun and she was able to carry a airplane with her.

1. This must be the No. 49 launched at the shipyard of Kawasaki, Kobe on 8 November 1926 approved to be built in the 1919 program. She sunk on 6 October 1945. Since 1939 renumbered as the I 122.
