Peru seizing German merchant ships according to the Dutch newspaper De Tijd dated 8 October 1917

An item reported that the a representative of the German shipping company sent a protest to the seizure of 10 German ships by the Peruvian cabinet. When the Peruvian soldiers came on board they discovered that all engines were destroyed. An second item reported that the Peruvian had decided almost without votes against to end the relations with Germany.
