Chilean dredger launched at Slikkerveer, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad dated 18 September 1901

An item reported that a day earlier at the shipyard of the firm A.F. Smulders at Slikkerveer a seagoing dredger was launched for account of the Chilean government to be used at the port of Valparaiso. The main dimensions were 43,1 x 7,5 z 3,2 (hold) metres. Immediately after the launching was the keel laid down of a large seagoing twin screw hopper dredger for the harbour works at Montevideo.
