An item dated Flushing the 1st reported that the fitted out 32-gun frigate Aurora commanded by captain lieutenant A.W. Landsheer and a crew of 230 men was also destined to be used as guard ship at Flushing. The hooker Maasnimph commanded by lieutenant Van der Geer was to be decommissioned as soon as Landsheer took command of the Aurora. Rear admiral Lemmers (1) commanding the naval forces in Zeeland sent the schooners Waterhond and Stoute commanded by 1st lieutenant Wardenburg towards Veere. From Veere was a vessel sent to the roads of Zierikzee.
