Swiss motor tanker Gotthard built at Millingen aan de Rijn, Netherlands according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad 19 May 1935

An item reported that the shipyard N.V. Scheepswerven v/h H.H. Bodewes, Millingen a.d. Rijn, Netherlands delivered the first of the two motor tankers she was building for Swiss account. The 700 tons motor ship Gotthard achieved during her trial a speed of 21 kilometres. She was fitted out with a 350 hp Sulzer engine. Another newspaper De Tijd dated 1 February reported that the ships were to be named Gotthard and Simplon to be fitted out with a 360hp Sulzer engine and a cargo capacity of 500 tons.
