Launched on 3 February 1989 at the Mercantile-Belyard scheepswerf at Rupelmonde and christened on 25 February 1989 by Mrs. Van de Kerckhof, spouse of the mayor of Diest. Of the international tripartite-design, in Belgium known as the Bellis-class. Displacement 550 tons and as dimensions 51,50 x 8,96 x 3,60 and a height of 18,50 metres. Speed 15 knots and a range of 3.000 nautical miles. Her crew numbers 34 (included 4 officers) men. The armament consisted of 3-0.50” machine guns.
