Dutch steamship Stad Gorinchem used as tug between Hellevoetsluis en Brouwershaven according to the Dutch newspaper Zierikzeesche Nieuwsbode dated 19 April 1847

An item dated Gorinchem the 15th reported that according to a well informed source on the 14th the steamboat used on the line Gorinchem-Middelburg was sold to F. Smit for ƒ 45.000 to be used as a tug. The newspaper feared that if this tiding was correct would this ale significantly harm the trade/commerce of Middelburg. The edition dated the 23rd reported that the steam yacht Stad Gorinchem was to be used as a second tug for Fop Smit of Kinderdijk between Hellevoetsluis en Brouwershaven.
