Swedish shipyards received Soviet orders according to the Dutch newspaper De Waarheid dated 18 June 1947

An item reported that the Soviet Union gave Swedish shipyards orders amounting a budget of around 70.000.000 Swedish crones. The order included more as fifty ships included freighters and fishing trawlers. The newspaper blamed the Dutch cabinet for the orders going to Sweden while she continuously the signing of the trade agreement with the Soviet delayed.(1)

1. This newspaper was published by the Communistic Party of the Netherlands (CPN). The trade agreement was signed on 10 June 1948. It resulted in orders for the Dutch shipyards like the Kon. Mij. De Schelde which latter yard built several ships for the Soviet Union.
