Danube opened to traffic by the Soviet Union according to the Dutch newspaper Gereformeerd gezinsblad dated 5 January 1950

An item reported that the Soviet Union unexpected opened the Danube for South Slavic ships serving between Belgrade and West Germany. On last Monday arrived the first ship coming via Hungary and the whole Soviet Austrian zone with a cargo of 2.700 ton pyrites at Linz, Austria. The cargo was destined for Regensburg, Germany.
