Japanese preparing for battle against Russian Baltic fleet according to the Dutch newspaper Soerabaijasch Handelsblad dated 6 December 1904

An item referred to telegrams received from the press association Reuter reporting that all efforts were done in secret by the Japanese since August to prepare their warships for the fight with the Russian Baltic fleet. Their ships were at that moment mostly repaired and fitted out.(1)
