British naval program temporarily delayed according to the Dutch newspaper Algemeen Handelsblad evening edition dated 17 December 1931

An item reported that the British cabinet to wait temporarily with realizing her naval building program except for the submarines as long as the disarmament conference. The program included the building of two 7,000 tons cruisers, a 5,000 tons cruiser of a new design, a flotilla leader, eight destroyers and a gunboat.
