to the newspaper Augsburger Allgemeine Zeitung captured a Russian corvette
destined from Constantinople towards Piraeus and to depart within short time in
the Black Sea a Turkish ship loaded with war stores and weapons destined fro
Circassia. The whole Turkish crew was taken prisoner and still on board of the
Russian corvette. Mr. Von Titoff ordered to hand over the prisoners to the
Turkish government but emphatic asked the Porte to take measures to prevent
this sort of trade.
