Russian merchant and warships losses according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland daily edition dated 16 November 1941

According to an item in this newspaper (1) destroyed the German air force between 22 June and 16 November of that year  135 Russian merchant ships and transports with a total tonnage of 383.650 BRT and were another 131 merchant ships and transports damaged. In the Baltic were 77 ships with a total tonnage of 156,650 BRT destroyed and 67 damaged and in the Black Sea 58 ships with a total tonnage of 227.000 BRT destroyed and 64 damaged.

The Russian navy also suffered severely while 52 of her ships were sunk and another 57 damaged. German bombers destroyed in the Baltic 2 cruisers, 9 destroyers, 5 patrol vessels, 9 minesweepers, 1 coast guard vessel and 9 other vessels. Damaged were a battleship, 3 heavy cruisers, 3 cruisers, 1 auxiliary cruiser, 18 destroyers, 1 gunboat, 2 minesweepers, a flotilla leader and 5 other vessels. In the Black Sea were destroyed 1 battleship, 2 cruisers, 6 destroyers, 2 submarines, 2 gunboats, 1 air defence ship, 1 patrol vessel, 1 motor torpedo boat and a guard vessel and damaged 1 heavy cruiser, 6 cruisers, 1 destroyer, 2 torpedo boats, 1 gunboat, 1 patrol vessel and 10 other vessels.

1. As the Netherlands were at that moment occupied by Germany and the Dutch press controlled I do not know to what extent this figures are trustful or just propaganda.
