The Dutch minister of foreign affairs attended potential interested that recently in Spanish newspapers an official item was published that the Spanish department of navy at Madrid intended to ask for tenders to built 23 gunboats (15 of 500 and 8 of 150 tons) which were to serve in the colonies especially at Cuba.
