The British naval budget according to the Dutch newspaper Het Nieuws van de Dag voor Nederlandsch-Indië dated 10 March 1910
This newspaper published a item dated London 9 March dealing with the British defence budget of which the naval budget was part. The naval budget amounted totally 40.603.700 British pound compared with the 1909 budget 5.561.000 pound increase. For the building and armament was more as 5.000.000 pound available and for new warships 13.279.830 pound (including 11.850.790 pound necessary for the completing of the ships now being build). To execute the newest shipbuilding program was 1.429.040 pound necessary and the building would start of laying down of the keels of 5 large battleships, 5 not armoured cruisers, 20 destroyers and some submarines.
