The Turkish fleet in the Mediterranean according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 31 January 1827

Frankfurt, 25 January. The Capitan Pasha is since 29 November 1826 still busy with the purge of the fleet. All the sailors who couldn’t be trusted were banned and 600 of the most dangerous were strangled.
