London, 22 April. According to a letter of Jamaica dated 17 March refused the harbour master of St. Jan (Puerto Rico) the admittance to the American squadron commanded by commodore Poster. This squadron consisted of 2 large frigates, 3 corvettes and 2 brigs. A schooner which tried while using force to enter the harbour was hit by gun shots causing the death of the captain and two sailors.
