Greek and Turkish navies in the Mediterranean according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 8 March 1826

Trieste, 21 February. The newspaper il Osservatore Triestino published a tiding from Zante dated the 2nd that last week the Turkish fleet left Patras to attack the Greek fleet off Missolunghi. The Greeks immediately reacted with sending fire ships managing in burning a Turkish 2nd class frigate and a brig. A second Turkish brig was boarded and captured. The Turkish returned to Patras and the Greeks towards Missolunghi to victual that fortress. Master Ragencowich of the Austrian brig Pericles, who sold a cargo of grain at the latter place, confirmed the Greek victory.
