Mexican privateers harassing according merchant trade shipping to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 28 July 1818

London, 24 July. According to a letter dated Port au Prince 23 May arrived the British ship Jupiter master Kay coming from London there 12 May while being off Cape Francais hold by an privateer flying the Mexican flag and which robbed her of a large amount of merchandise. A Swedish ship which arrived 21 May suffered the same fate.
