Naval operations of the Dutch East Company at Amboina according to the Generale Missive dated 25 March 1741

The Gaasperdam departed Batavia with the half of the amount of cash asked for via Tegal to load 400 last rice towards Amboina. The Nieuwstad sailed with letters directly. The patrolling for Papuan pirates was to repeated yearly.
Towards Banda were 50 last rice sent to meet in the shortcomings caused by the stranding of the Spiering at Aru.
The sloop Lastdrager with a length of 72 feet was built for service at Amboina. She transported together with the sloop Nagelboom the stores destined for Banda which the Ananas couldn’t load anymore.
The sloops Koffieboom, Ida Anna and Nagelboom and the pantjalang Casuaris were repaired, costs fl. 5.649. The civilians owned together 8 sloops, 27 sampans and 16 orambais. Batavia demanded in the future to know more about the age, their destination and which cargo these civilian vessels transported.
The equipage yard was supplied with a new building for the craftsmen.
