Russian nuclear icebreaker (ex-Ural) 50 Let Pobedy (Project 10521) 1989-


Russia-flagged, homeport Murmansk, IMO 9152959, MMSI 273316240 and callsign UGYU. Gross tonnage 23.439 tons, summer deadweight 3.505 tons and as dimensions 159,60 x 28 (waterline)-30 (maximum) x 11,08 x 17,2 (depth) metres or 523.7 x 92-98.5 x 36.4 x 56.5  feet. Speed 21,4 knots made possible by the two-171 MW OK-900A nuclear reactors. On 4 October 1989 laid down of the Ural at the Baltic Shipyard at St. Petersburg (former Leningrad) although the building was stopped in 1994 lacking financial sources. In 1995 was the ship in a worse condition but not earlier as in 2003 started the completion again. Completed begin 2007 started her two weeks trials on 1 February and on 12 March commissioned. Owned by the Russian government and managed by Atomflot, Murmansk, Russia. This huge icebreaker of the Arktika-class is worlds’ largest icebreaker. Her crew numbers 140 men. With passenger accommodation for 129 persons.
