Standard Oil Company stopped oil import from Mexico according to the Dutch newspaper Het Vaderland evening edition dated 5 July 1921

According to a news item confirmed the president of the Standard Oil Company the tidings that his company would not transport any oil from Mexico anymore and that their tankers would be called back caused by the new Mexican export tax since begin that week. It was to be expected that oil companies would act similar.
