The British navy in the Levant according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 9 June 1829

Corfu, 13 May. The British frigate Madagaskar left that day probably first destined towards Prevesa to inform the Greek and Turkish commanding officers of the latest decisions made by the Greek government and from there she was to inform the whole coast until Morea. The British navy was ordered to prevent that British or Ionian merchant ships were not allowed by the Greek to enter the harbours and coast of Albany or Rumelia. The British ship of the line Asia appeared 16 May off Corfu. She left 9 May Naples. On board was admiral sir Pulteny Malcolm who landed to speak the Lord Supreme Commissioner.
