The Russian navy in the Black Sea area according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 21 April 1821

The newspaper of St. Petersburg reported that rear admiral Kumani some days after the capture of Sizopolis attacked with a brig and some armed sloops several Turkish merchant ships between Faros and Burgas. Three loaded with war stores and biscuit were captured and 7 which were stranded by the Turkish were burnt.
