The Colombian Santander became the Spanish corvette Reyna Amelia according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 27 August 1827

Cadiz, 3 August. The corvette Reyna Amelia arrived at Coruna after a voyage of 168 days coming from Manilla. She belonged to the Colombians and served as the Santander. She had transported some Colombian officers from Peru to Panama. They departed the ship hastily after arriving at Panama to sleep on shore. During the night the corvette disappeared, sailed towards Manilla where there officers and crewmembers the ship transferred to the Captain General of the Philippines. The latter ordered to repair the ship and sent her to Europe.
