The Egyptian and the Turkish navies in the Mediterranean according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 9 June 1826

Frankfurt, 4 June. The newspaper l’Osservatore Triestino of 27 May reported that according to tidings of a master who arrived at Patras, the complete Turkish fleet now had left the bay of Patras, including the last division which departed 6 May. There were rumours that 12 ships coming from Alexandria and loaded with victuals were captured by the Greeks. According to other tidings was the fleet commanded by the Captain Pasha already sighted 8 May near the island Ipsara and some days earlier the Egyptian fleet off Navarino.
