The Egyptian, Greek and the Turkish navies in the Levant according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 10 September 1825

Corfu, 13 August. The Greek fleet that appeared in the waters of Missolunghi defeated again the Turkish. She succeeded in burning two large Turkish ships and capturing a brig. The Turkish fleet left for Wiona pursed by the Greek fleet.

Trieste, 24 August. According to the newspaper Journal de Franckfurt didn’t the Captain Pasha still depart from Cape Papas but would probably join the attack on Missolunghi. The Greek squadron that arrived off Cape Tornese was probably too weak the attack the Captain Pasha at open sea and returned to the Gulf of Arcadia. Some Greek ships were cruising off the South West coast of Morea. The Greek fleet was weakened while Miaulis pursued with most of his ships the Egyptian squadron commanded by Hussein Bey to prevent the latter to collect new troops at Alexandria.

Trieste, 25 August. According tot the newspaper Allgemeine Zeitung reported masters of ships which arrived coming from Dorazzo and other Turkish ports that Napoli-di-Romania and Missolunghi were captured by the Turkish. However a master who came in 11 days from Corfu reported that the Turkish attacked with without success but with large losses Missolunghi 1 or 2 August. The same day or a day later attacked the Greek fleet the Turkish fleet while capturing 1 corvette, 1 brig and 14 transports loaded with victuals. One corvette and 1 brig were driven on the beach and the remaining ships of the Turkish were chased.
