The merchant ship Mississippi sent back due to the outbreak of yellow fever according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 1 November 1824

Hanover, Germany, 23 October. At Stade was 16 October public announced that the ship Mississippi coming from Trinidad, Cuba arrived in the Wezer but sent back by the government of Oldenburg while during her voyage yellow fever broke out and all ready three sailors were thrown dead over board. Every one was warned not to approach the ship.
