Dutch steamboat Vereniging laid down at Dordrecht, Netherlands according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 20 May 1823

Dordrecht, 17 May. The day before yesterday was at the yard of shipbuilder Jan Schouten the keel laid down of the steamboat de Vereniging to be used on the line Rotterdam-Dordrecht. As far as the journalist knew she was the first steamboat with a Dutch construction built in the Netherlands. The Dordrechtse Courant of 15 May supplied the same information.
