The Brazilian naval shipbuilding program according to the Dutch newspaper Het Centrum dated 13 June 1924

Rio Janeiro, 11 June. The Army and Navy Commissionen of the Brazilian Chamber of Representatives gave a positive advice to allow the government supplying money for building a 10,000 tons cruiser, 5 submarines and 5 destroyers to replace the aged units.
