The building of the Dutch steamboat Koning Willem II at Amsterdam, Netherlands according to the Nederlandsche Staatscourant dated 16 April 1841

According to the newspaper Het Handelsblad of Amsterdam was Saturday 10 April at the yard of Christian Verveer the iron steamboat Koning Willem II launched. She was property of the new steam trade company of Mrs. Hop and company at Rotterdam destined to sail regular between Rotterdam and Antwerp. Dimensions 140 x 20 British foot and 2 low pressure steam engines of total 90 hp.
